We’re happy to share that registration is now open for the 2026–2027 school year for the West Medford Community Center After‑School Youth Club (AYC). All families (new and returning) are responsible for a $50 non‑refundable annual registration fee per family, which secures placement and supports administrative costs.
Once enrolled, a child’s spot is guaranteed through 8th grade, provided they remain continuously enrolled. Siblings of currently enrolled children who are eligible for AYC are also guaranteed a spot. When spaces are filled, additional applications will be placed on a waiting list.
We do have slots available. The Afterschool Youth Club is available 2-6pm Monday-Friday & beginning at 12pm on Medford Public Schools half days. We operate according to the regular Medford Public Schools calendar. The program is closed for holidays and school vacation weeks. Care may be offered for some of these days based off need. The After School Program does not operate if the schools are closed.
Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, the West Medford Community Center is proud to offer an enhanced Leadership and Counselor‑in‑Training (CIT) pathway for older youth (Grades 7 & 8) enrolled in the After‑School Youth Club. This program is designed for students who are ready to take on greater responsibility while remaining fully integrated into the daily AYC program. The AYC Leadership Program is designed to empower middle‑school students with responsibility, confidence, and practical skills—while keeping them engaged, supported, and connected to the AYC community. Minimum commitment: 2 days per week during the school year (flexible scheduling) and attend up to 5 days. The Leadership & CIT Program serves as a direct pipeline toward future opportunities, including formal CIT placements and priority consideration for teen staff or junior support roles when age‑eligible.
Attendance and pricing options are as follows: $525.00 per month for 5 days a week; $420.00 per month for 4 days a week; $315.00 per month for 3 days a week; $210.00 per month for 2 days a week; CIT (Days vary): $150. Once we receive your registration, Charmaine, AYC Coordinator, will follow up with the full application to confirm your child’s spot. She is cc’d on this email.
