WMCC presents Medford’s First Annual Juneteenth 2020 celebrations in collaboration with the North Shore Juneteenth Association! Juneteenth a contraction of June 19th, is the day in 1865 when the last of enslaved African Americans were freed, more than two years after the Emancipation proclamation. The day celebrates Black excellence, leadership, community and culture! We have dance, music performances, interviews, poetry, children’s book readings! A detailed, Juneteenth schedule of events will be out soon and we hope you’d join us!

Broadcasted on WMCC’s Youtube Channel or Medford Community Media Website or TV Channels: Comcast 3 | Verizon 47
